Shyamaprasad is a national award-winning filmmaker whose films continue to be showcased in prestigious international film festivals like Karlovy Vary, Tokyo, Cairo, Rome, Brisbane, Benodet, Tehran, Frieburg, Stuttgart, Florence, Fukuoka among others. He has served twice as the Jury member of the National Film Awards. His recent work Ore Kadal (The Sea Within), was the inaugural film of the Indian Panorama at the International film festival of India in 2007. The film was also awarded the Fipresci Prize, the Natpac Award for the best feature at the IFFK-2008, the Audience prize - The German Star at the Stuttgart festival of Bollywood & Beyond-2008 besides getting invited to the 6th Asiatic filmmediale at Rome among over 25 festivals around the world. Shyamaprasad's earlier films, Akale and Agnisakshi were adjudged the best regional film in 2004 and 1998 respectively. These films also bagged as many nine state awards in all major technical categories including that of the Best Director. Shyamaprasad was also awarded the Best Television Director prize for the year 1993, 1994, and 1996 consecutively. A winner of the Commonwealth Scholarship in 1989 and a master graduate in Film & Media Production from the Hull University in the UK, Shyamaprasad is currently the President (Programmes) of Amrita Television.

Joshua Newtonn is an international award-winning writer based in Kochi in the southern Indian state of Kerala. His non-fiction and journalism have appeared in over 60 publications around the world. He's the first Asian to win the Evangelical Press Association (USA) award in magazine writing and the Luis Valtuena VII International Humanitarian Photography Award (Spain).
